Peter Klippenstein

Peter D. Klippenstein, age 83 of Spring Lake, passed away on April 7, 2020 at his home from heart failure. He was born March 22, 1937 in Canada, the son of Henry Rempel and Mary Funk (Doerksen) Klippenstein. He married Lizzie Rempel on October 2, 1960 in Paraguay. Peter farmed for many years raising sheep and cattle. He also operated a saw mill. Peter was a faithful member of Oak Ridge Mennonite Church and served as a Pastor for 45 years in Paraguay, South America and Kentucky.  He is the father and father-in-law of the owners of Hillside Bakery in Spring Lake.

Peter is survived by his wife, Lizzie Klippenstein; two children, Diana (Paul) Weaver and Priscilla (Dwayne) Stauffer. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; three children and two foster sons. He is missed…..but in a better place! Pray for the family during their time of grief.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 11AM at the Oak Ridge Mennonite Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday from 9AM until private services at 11AM.
