Nancy Reese

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.”    Ecclesiastes 3:1

Nancy C. Reese, nee Doro, of Wautoma was peacefully born into eternal life on April 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her beloved family.

Nancy was born on June 9th in Berlin, Wisconsin, the daughter of Eleanore M. (Drover) Doro and John J. Doro.  She married Richard J. Reese on November 12, 1955 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Berlin. Nancy and Dick had six children, fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Nancy’s passions in life were her faith and her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother and  was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and St. James Parish.  Nancy  most enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors. She and Dick also enjoyed field trial activities with their labradors and, later on, raising chihuahuas.

Survivors include her husband, Dick and children: Martha Chamness-Reese, Pam (Bob) Bartelt, Patty (Tim) Gapen, Patience (Jon) Jazdzewski, Pearl (Peter) Grimm, a brother, Dick Doro, a sister Judy Weink and a sister-in-law, Joan Doro, as well as many treasured family members and friends. She was preceded in death by two children: Peter J. Reese and Paula E. Reese,  brother, Michael J. Doro, her parents: Eleanore M. (Drover) Doro and John J. Doro, grandparents:  Michael M and Anna (Domchowski) Doro and Ellison and Julia (Hallman) Drover,  her brothers-in-law Carl Jurgella and Bob Weink, and sisters-in-law Betty (Reese) Jurgella and Rita (Malcyn) Doro.

Funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James in Neshkoro.  There will be a visitation preceding the funeral from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
