Mark Steven Donarski, age 61, of Wautoma, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah following a valiant fight with multiple health issues arising from his diabetes.
He was born July 18, 1959 in Appleton, the son of Daniel and Mary (Daley) Donarski. He married Barbara R. (Hazen) Shultis on August 19, 2000 in Mt. Morris.
Mark was a graduate of Abbott-Pennings High School in Green Bay. He graduated with a degree in Soil & Conservation from UW-Stevens Point. Mark worked at the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery for a short time. He was employed as a machinist at the former Nelson Muffler (Cummins) of Wautoma. Later, he worked at Oshkosh Truck and Bemis Corp. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Redgranite. Mark will be remembered for his heart of gold and willingness to help anyone. He was be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara “Barb” Donarski, Wautoma; his father. Daniel Donarski, Green Bay; three brothers, Daniel (Kris) Donarski, Sault Saint Marie, MI, Thomas (Debbie) Donarski, Powell, WY, Paul (Paula) Donarski, Green Bay; one sister, Jane (Bob) Brandes, Tennessee; three stepchildren, Todd Shultis, Fond du Lac, Nicholas (Jill) Shultis, Fond du Lac, Teresa (Aaron) Kufahl, Montello; step grandchildren, Sawyer, Payton, Cody, Keagan, Mackenna, Ellisyn, Carson, Chase, Austin and Hunter. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends along with his canine companion, Zeva and feline friends, Bella and Cobalt.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Mary Angela; and by his step son, Keith Shultis.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home, 358 S. Oxford St. in Wautoma. Friends and relatives may also call on Monday at the church from 12 noon until the time of services. A Memorial will be established in Mark’s memory. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Redgranite with Deacon Precourt officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks will be required and social distancing observed at the visitation and funeral.
