Linda Lowther

Linda L. Lowther, loving wife of Douglas Lowther died on May 31, 2021 at Crossroads Care Center, Weyauwega, Wisconsin.

Linda was born on January 24, 1950 in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Paul and Lorraine (Murphree) Peavler.

After Linda graduated from high school in Houston, TX she went on to college. She later married Alan Grobmeier and they later divorced. She was the proud and loving mother of two children Christina & Anthony Grobmeier.

In 1997 she met her soul mate, Doug. They were married on July 7, 2007 in Mesa, AZ and had 24 adventurous years together.

Linda’s life led her on an amazing journey. She had been a gospel singer singing back up and also touring with famous gospel bands, played on a women’s pro bowling team, and was listed in Who’s Who of American Women 1981/82. She held several amazing careers including being employed by NASA. She was thrilled to work in mission control during one of the Apollo missions.

Linda is survived by her husband, Doug Lowther, Berlin; daughter Christina Grobmeier of Charlotte, NC; son Anthony Grobmeier of Houston TX; brother Larry (Michele) Peavler of Sweeny, TX; sisters in law Dee Dee Jakubowski of Wautoma, Debra (Ron) Grafe of Cottonwood, AZ; and Cynthia Nash. She is further survived by special friend Ianna Wilson; special niece Debbie Simon, other nieces; nephews; cousins, and many friends

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Paul Ronnie Peavler.

The family wishes to thank the members of Linda’s care team at Theda Care-Berlin, Crossroads Care Center of Weyauwega, Heartland Hospice of Stevens Point and a special thank you to the staff at Leikness Funeral Home for their compassion during this difficult time.
