Wayne Adams

Wayne Elery Adams, age 62 of Wautoma, died on Wednesday, August 05, 2015 at his home from complications from his paralysis that was caused by a backyard football game injury. He was born on August 26, 1952 in Milwaukee to Elery S. and Dorothy E. (Meckelburg) Adams. He graduated from Wautoma High School with the Class of 1970. On August 26, 1972 he married Barbara Lynn Owen in South Milwaukee at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. He was injured 28 days after his marriage to Barbara. The couple then moved to Wautoma area and has been residents since. Wayne was Vice-Chairman of the Waushara County Democratic Party. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, Beanie Babies and working on the computer. Wayne was always there to help his family and friends however he could. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his wife of almost 43 years: Barbara Adams; step mother: Joan Adams; brothers: Keith (Lorna) Adams, Curtis (Tammy) Adams; brother-in-law: James (Denise) Owen; sister-in-law: Karen (Michael) Bretzel; nieces and nephews: Melissa, John, Jacob, Anthony, Jamie, Jason, Johnny; great nieces and nephews; Mt. Morris Gang; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Sandra Lee Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Barb Girod with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM (NOON).

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in Wayne's name.
