Theodore “Ted” R. Bauer, age 79 of Wautoma, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh. He was born on November 4, 1937 in Waukesha to E. Paul and Esther (Wiegner) Bauer. He graduated from Wautoma High School, Class of 1955. On November 7, 1959 he married Judith “Judy” A. Schwersinske at Holy Apostle Catholic Church in New Berlin. The couple would have been married 58 years in November. Ted worked as a Pressman for the Waushara Argus, Oshkosh Northwestern and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He was an active member of the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association.

Ted is survived by his wife: Judy Bauer; children: Julie (Mark) Blake, Jeff (Linda) Bauer, Theodore (Tammy) Bauer; grandchildren: Heather (CJ) Kell, Anthony (Mandy) Blake, Andrew (Jen) Blake, Nicholas (Jamie) Bauer, Nicole (Sean) Kelley; great grandchildren: Ariana, Aiden, Asher, Aubree, Kaden, Jack, Kody, Luke, Vivienne; sisters: Caroline Andler, Clara Jean Wilson, Karren Pettit; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Edward P. Bauer, Albert C. Bauer and two sisters: Mary Ann Bauer and Rose Marie Opperman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017at 12PM (NOON) at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of services at 12PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association or Disabled American Veterans Association.
