Susan Marie DeLain, age 76, of Neshkoro, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 17, 2025 at her home.
She was born August 11, 1948 in Appleton, the daughter of Paul and Mary Skell. Sue was employed as a graphic artist for AT&T in Milwaukee, later moving to sales and dispatching for the company. She was an avid artist and loved teaching local art classes in the community. She also enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables. Sue was an active member and past president of the Rural Rembrandts of Wautoma. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Christian DeLain (Erin Moline), Oak Creek; one granddaughter, Amelia DeLain; one brother, Bob (Sandy) Skell, Appleton. She is further survived by one niece, one nephew, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Rick Skell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro with Monsignor James Gunn officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Sue’s family encourages those attending to wear bright colors for the services.
The family is forever grateful to Tammy Raymond for her loving care and friendship to Sue and also to Bob Baird for his kind heart as well as being her loving companion.
