Ronald “Ronnie” Leonard Souzek, age 64, of Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was born in Berlin, on October 19, 1952 to Emil and Marion (Rohde) Souzek. After high school, Ronnie went to work for Ripon Foods for over 40 years until the company closed and then went to work at Speed Queen/Alliance for a short time. Ronnie enjoyed racing stock cars in his younger years, was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed hunting and was a huge Elvis fan. He also enjoyed old tractors, especially Farmall tractors and had taken flying lessons. Ronnie will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Ronnie is survived by his three brothers: Ervin (Cathy Atkinson) Souzek, Marlin Souzek, Roger (Karla) Souzek; nieces and nephews: Kevin (Becky) Urban, Crystal Souzek, Connie (Roger) Quint, Lincoln (Dinka) Souzek, Phillip (Julie) Souzek; his dog: Suzie; aunt: Delores Dickerson; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and friend: Gladys Lovejoy.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Leikness Funeral Home with burial to follow in North Dakota Cemetery, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30PM until the time of services at 2PM.
