Roberta L. Erickson, a resident of Coloma, Wisconsin, passed away in the comfort of family on July 12th, 2024, at the age of 77 years old.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Lydia Rabe, and her brothers Roland and Ronald. She is survived by her husband Fred (his children Brian, Bradley, and Liz), her sisters Ruth and Renee, Jean Rabe, Christina Grazer, her children Nadine and TJ, and many grandchildren.
Roberta was born on the east side of Milwaukee and graduated from River Side High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart Terry in 1967 at Holy Rosary Church in Milwaukee, with whom she had two children. Roberta considered them to be the “two best things in her life,” apart from her grandchildren who brought her much joy and happiness.
She loved to crochet, paint, and sew. She raised finches and Saint Bernards, and always had the desire to become a beautician (as a young adult she attended school to do so). Roberta even thought about going to school for horticulture.
After moving from New Holstein Wisconsin to Coloma in the early 1990s, she married Fred Erickson and spent the next thirty years becoming a beloved figure in the small-town community, known for her love of art, cardinals, and caring for others.
Roberta loved nature, flowers, watching the birds at her feeders, and spending time with friends and family. She was a supportive wife, loving mother, sister, Nani, aunt, and dear friend. She collected tea pots, sold arts and crafts at local markets, and played the piano.
A celebration of life for Roberta will take place at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma on July 27th at 1pm with a luncheon to follow.
