Richard Dunn

Richard "Dick" R. Dunn, age 75 passed away April 28, 2016 at Banner Hospital, Casa Grande, AZ following a short 5 week illness. Dick was born October 24, 1940 on Dunn's Island, Town of Warren, Waushara County to Ray H. and Dorothy C. (Erdman) Dunn.

Except for the last several winters in AZ, Dick spent his entire life on Dunn's Island, first in the original farm house and then in a home he built nearby. Dick loved the outdoors. He was a hunter, fisherman and accomplished cook, a great pie and fudge maker and a champion dominos player. His friends will miss time spent at the hunting shack, especially Monday night dinner and dominos.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife: Gloria; children: Lynn (Sam) Warpinski, Greenleaf and their children: Dalton, Leyton and Aimon, Lisa (Chris) Callen, Waukesha and their son: Cash, Steve (Stacey) Dunn, Neshkoro and their children: Marissa, Loganand Sydney, Renee (Guy) Welch, Packwaukee and family: Airikka and Justin Welch; sister: Judith (Tom) Thomas and their famiy: Kurt (Linda), Kevin, Kyle (Darlene), Kory, Kristopher (Gretchen); sister-in-law: Dianne Dunn and her family: Mark (Jackie) Dunn and their families; nieces: Amy Dunn, Jodie Dunn; also Sheila (Robert) Lehman and Sherry (Joe) Anderson and their families; brother-in-law: Charles (Jackie) Vetrone and their family: Tammy, Jamie and Charles. Also left behind are many good friends, cousin and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Thomas E. Dunn to whom he donated a kidney in 2009; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Agnes Vetrone and two sisters-in-law: Mary and Betty Vetrone.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00AM at Grace United Methodist Church. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of services at 11:00 followed by a fellowship time. In lieu of flowers, offer a kind word or a little help to someone in need.
