Patricia A. “Pat” Johannes, age 79, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 30, 2026 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Wild Rose.
She was born April 21, 1946 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Ralph and Clarabelle (Polin) Unold. She married Richard L. Johannes July 27, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma.
Pat was manager of the Wautoma A&W restaurant for a number of years. Later, she worked in the bakery at Copps Food Center in Wautoma for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and collecting photos. She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Johannes, Wautoma; two sons, Richard “Rick” (Rhonda) Johannes, Oshkosh, Thomas “Tom” (Diane) Johannes, Oshkosh; five grandchildren: Kristian (Jessie) Bastress, Bethany (Casey) Kaderly, Allison (Hannah) Johannes, Alex (Morgan) Johannes, Anna Johannes; great grandchildren: Eden and Jack Bastress, Oaklyn Kaderly along with a great grandson due in May, Isla and Hayden Johannes; one sister, Janet Krueger, Oshkosh; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bernadyne Wilson, Delbert Johannes, Allen (Shirley) Johannes, Keith (Sharon) Johannes, Lewis Johannes, Beverly Zuehlke, Beatrice Edwards, Belva (David) Rux, Howard Johannes, Albert (Carol) Johannes, Barbara Brzostowski, Roger Johannes, Bonnie (Jeff) Zaremba and Betty Johannes. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her great granddaughter, Karsyn Kaderly; siblings: Jim and Phillip Unold, Rita, George, Roxanne, Dale and Clara McNutt; her parents-in-law, Earl and Hazel Johannes; brothers-in-law: Clayton Johannes and Bernard Johannes; brothers-in-law: Larry Wilson, Phil Zuehlke, Merle Edwards, Leon Brzostowski; sisters-in-law, Theresa Johannes, and Loretta Johannes.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A luncheon will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall in Wautoma. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Pat’s memory.
