Neva Hannemann

Neva Anna Hannemann, age 97, of Wautoma, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born December 19, 1916 in Magnolia, WI, the daughter of Frank and Minna (Gransee) Topp. Neva was preceded in death by her husband Albert; her sister, Ella; and brothers George and Roy. The Topp family moved to Cameron, WI and Neva received her education in the Cameron Public Schools. She received a perfect attendance certificate for her elementary school education in grades one through eight. On February 22, 1936, Neva was joined in marriage to Albert Carl Hannemann in Grantsburg, WI. The couple was blessed with five children; Bonnie Leach (Warren), both deceased; Lavonna Muzzy (Sheldon); Aaron (Myrna); Jerald (Theresse), and Susan Fecke (Robert). While raising her family she worked part time as a cook at Silvercryst Resort and the Moose Inn in Wautoma, WI. Neva was an avid gardener and her children considered her an outstanding cook. She was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Neva is further survived by five grandchildren; Brian Leach, Holly Kaminski (Dean), Kelly Muzzy (Sharon), William Fecke (Krysta), Neva Weiland (Josh); step granddaughter, Jody Huenerberg (Gary). She was preceded in death by her step granddaughter, Lisa Huenerberg (Karl). She is also survived by her niece, Delores (Jim) Ramerth and nephew, Herman (Bonnie) Martin. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; Brandon and Cassandra Kaminski, Brett, Brock, and Alyssa Muzzy, Ronan, Ashe and Finn Fecke, Brandon Maederer, Aidon, and Elizabeth Weiland; four step great grandchildren, Josh Stellmacher, Jessica Himes, Shane Standifer, and Shanna Calkins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Sarah Timian of Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery, Town of Marion.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
