Neil Hart

Neil G. Hart, age 82 of Neshkoro, formerly of Elgin, IL died unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born in Elgin, IL on July 16, 1938 to Carl and Edith (Lamp) Hart. Neil graduated from Elgin High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force serving form 1955 to 1959. He then became a police officer for the Elgin Police Department and retired from Hampshire Police Department in 2001 and then moved to Neshkoro and met his dear companion, Rose Wendt. Neil enjoyed his retirement in his home in the woods.

Neil is survived by his daughters: Kirsten (Dan) Laurents, Dallas, TX, Jennifer (Eric) Sherwood, Elgin, IL; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister: Sylvia Busse, Montgomery; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Carl Hart and Richard Hart.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date at Hope Lutheran Church with burial and military honors at Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
