Nathan James Kozlowski, 31, passed away on July 6th, 2026.
Nathan was a quiet soul who loved deeply, with a wonderfully dry sense of humor that could catch you off guard and leave you laughing. He treasured time with those he loved, especially gaming with his nephews and brother.
Nathan grew up in a bustling log home surrounded by the love, laughter, and chaos of nine siblings. His happiest memories were often the simplest ones. Long summer days were spent outside playing baseball, throwing a Frisbee, exploring, and staying outdoors until the sun went down. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Packers and Brewers. Nathan lost his father at a young age, and it brings us comfort to know they are together again.
Nathan fought a difficult battle with addiction, an illness that ultimately claimed his life. He was incredibly proud of every moment of sobriety he achieved. Every one of those victories mattered, because Nathan mattered. Those who loved him will remember not his struggles, but his kind heart, quiet spirit, and the love he had for his family.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Pamela Kozlowski; his siblings, Shane Kozlowski (Melissa) and their children Ethan, Tyler, Casandra, and Lilly; Crystal Meyer (Allyn) and their children Carter, Madalyn, Morgan, and Andrew; Tiffany Tallinger and her children Ryan, Layla, and Michael; Kimberly Kozlowski (Joe) and their children Bradley, Jordan, Meghan, Dominick, Melody, and Daisy; Naomi Ellickson (Crist) and their children Lincoln and Charlotte; Jessica Kozlowski; Carrie Kozlowski (Jon) and their children Gaege and Emmy; Caleb Kozlowski (Kelianne) and their daughter Aspyn; and Joshua Kozlowski. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him always.
Addiction is an unforgiving illness. It steals moments, years, and far too many lives, but it can never take away the love that remains. We find peace in believing that Nathan is finally free from the pain and burdens he carried for so long. While our hearts are broken, we will remember him for his quiet kindness, his sharp wit, and the joy he brought to those who knew and loved him.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
