Myrna Martin

April 20, 1935 — March 9, 2022

Myrna Irene Martin, age 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose.

She was born April 20, 1935 in the Town of Mount Morris, the daughter of Raymond and Berniece (Ottaway) Anderson. Myrna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard H. Martin on October 15, 1960 at Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2011.

Myrna had many jobs over the years, including working for AAA in Madison, Miles Kimball Company and Oshkosh B’Gosh before retiring from Walmart in Oshkosh. She volunteered at Aurora Medical Center and Oshkosh Community Blood Center, along with being an avid blood donor. Myrna was a member of Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Church and enjoyed worshipping at Calvary Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.

Myrna enjoyed many hobbies including camping, reading, knitting, stitching, word-search puzzles, and traveling. Whenever her husband asked, “do you want to go…? she would jump at the opportunity. One of her favorite trips was to Germany to see her son and family while he was stationed with the United States Air Force.

Myrna is survived by her son: William (Karen) Martin; daughter: Melissa (Robert) Schnyder; six grandchildren: Erik Martin, Amanda (Alex) Witt, Connie (Trevor) Hewett, Tyler, Joseph, and Jennifer Schnyder; two great grandchildren: Benjamin Witt and Jessica Hewett; special niece: Lisa (Robert) Hinrichs and her daughters: Kasey and Katey Lovicott; two sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Doug Boettcher) Pica and Dianna Martin. She is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Martin; her parents: Raymond and Berniece Anderson; one sister: Donna Banker; and by her in-laws: William and Laura Martin.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Church, N3388 State Road 152, Wautoma with Rev. Joyce Heintz officiating. Myrna will be laid to rest at Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
