Mildred "Millie" A. Seaver

Mildred “Millie” Ann Seaver, age 88, of Neshkoro, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at her home.

She was born August 8, 1934 in Marion, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin and Alma (Hill) Hoy. She married Ronald E. Seaver on November 21, 1956 in Decatur, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2010.

She and her late husband resided in Libertyville, Illinois for many years before moving to Neshkoro. Millie was a longtime member of the Libertyville Jr. Women’s Club and P.E.O. Millie was the founding President of the Neshkoro Enhancement Committee. She and her daughter owned Treats ‘n Treasures Gift Shop in Neshkoro for 9 years, and she was committed to the beautification of the village. She was a member of the Neshkoro Lioness for several years until they disbanded. She worked at the Ace Hardware Store in Wautoma for 11 years and considered her co-workers as family. Millie will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Schuyler) Wemmer, Neshkoro; two grandsons, Austin Ronald Wemmer and Dylan Philip Wemmer; three great grandsons, Zeppelin Schuyler, Ziggy D. and Declan Ronald Wemmer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00 a.m. A light luncheon will follow at the church.
