Mary Madeline Surprenant, age 78 of Wautoma passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Silver Lake Manor, Wautoma. She was born in Boston, MA on June 10, 1946 to Louis and Mary (Trifero) Casamassa. Madeline attended Hollison High School in Massachusates and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1964. She worked as a telephone operator at Wisconsin Bell, as a cashier at Arian Department Store and retired from Waushara Industries. Madeline was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma. She enjoyed knitting, cross-stich, reading magazines and fashion shopping.

Madeline is survived by her daughter: Heidi (Jude Sr.) Pommier; grandson: Jude Pommier Jr.; brother: James (Cheri) Casamassa, step brothers: Felix (Sandra) Liburdi, Richard Liburdi, Ron Liburdi, Mike (Cindy) Liburdi and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Louis Casamassa when she was a child (8 years old); her mother: Mary (Casamassa) Liburdi; her step-father: Felix Liburdi and her brother: Louis Casamassa. 

Per Madelines wishes, there will no funeral services and she will be buried in Calvary Cemetery, Wautoma.

Madeline will be especially missed by her guardian of 29 years, Laura Sullivan Nelsen, “It was an honor to have known you Madeline, until we meet again my friend, God speed towards peace & tranquility Darling.”
