Mary Roecker

Mary A. Roecker, age 78, of Wautoma, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday morning, March 1, 2010 at the Wild Rose Manor.She was born October 8, 1931 in Slinger, the daughter of Alois and Cecilia (Weyer) Schaefer. She married Otto O. Roecker, on October 6, 1951 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. Mary and her husband resided in Beaver Dam for 40 years prior to moving to rural Wautoma in 1993. She belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma. Mary enjoyed being with her family, embroidery, reading, and the breakfast club in Wautoma. She is survived by her husband, Otto Roecker, Wautoma; three children, Elizabeth (David) Gubine, Beaver Dam, Patricia (Jeff) Kaiser, Beaver Dam, Gary L. Roecker (Brenda Knox), Wautoma; grandchildren, Jennifer (Lorne) Druecke, Amanda Hartt, Otto (Katy) Kaiser, and Melissa Kaiser; two great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nicholas; three brothers, Edward (Jane) Schaefer, Wautoma, Robert (Donna) Schaefer, Hartford, George (Sharon) Schaefer, Neshkoro; a brother-in-law, Maurice Gahlman, Madison; a special friend, Doris Mason, Beaver Dam. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister, Suzanne Gahlman. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with the Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Highland Memorial Gardens, Beaver Dam.

10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
