Mary Hesser

April 1, 1930 — May 24, 2011

On 5/24/11 Mary Hesser ascended to the loving arms of our Lord. Her tremendous strength, grace, courage and breadth of character doubtlessly left our world a better place. Mary is survived by four children: Bill Hesser, Janesville WI. John Hesser, Janesville WI. Hans Hesser, Oshkosh WI., and Julie Hesser, Stillwater MN. She is also survived by two brothers; Jim Simon, OK., Bill Simon, TX., and one sister, Avia Niece, Phoenix AZ. Seven grandchildren were also fortunate enough to be touched by her grace. Mary derived countless hours of pleasure and peace tending her gardens, woods and prairies. Their beauty is testament to her love and dedication. Mary considered it a great privilege and derived much satisfaction from her involvement in the following organizations: Richford Town Board, Waushara Foster Care program, Wautoma Senior Center, Bay Area Committee on Aging, Homemakers, Master Gardners and the people of the Wautoma area. Mary was adamant that we celebrate and not grieve her passing. Her choice of final music, Bach's "Ode to Joy", bears this out. Mary will always be remembered. Whenever you see a beautiful garden, prairie, Oak savannah, or meandering trout stream please smile. Mary will appreciate it. Undoubtedly she had a hand in it from heaven and will be smiling with you. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 4th at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 364 South Cambridge St., Wautoma, WI 54982. Visitation on hour prior to service at church.
