Mary Louise Clark, 94, of Wautoma, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Heartland House. The family would like to thank the amazing staff for the wonderful care Mary received during the years she lived there.
Mary was born on September 3, 1929, in Oshkosh, to Vern and Nina Parker. She married Kelly C. Clark on October 13, 1956, in Madison. They were married for 60 years and raised two sons.
Mary graduated from Madison Business College in 1948 and worked as the Office Manager and Secretary of the college until 1958. After moving to Fond du Lac, she worked as a swimming instructor and lifeguard at the YMCA for ten years. Mary received her real estate license in 1975 and established Mary Clark Realty, Inc. in 1979. She was selected as Outstanding Female Alumna of the year from Madison Business College in 1984. Mary retired in 1989. She and Kelly moved to Hancock in 1991 returning to her ancestral homestead area.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved golfing and quilting, researching and documenting the family heritage, hunting for and collecting antiques, and working in her garden. Mary will be fondly remembered for the twinkle in her eyes and infectious laugh. She will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her two sons Kevin (Carole) Clark, of Hancock, and Scott Clark, of Rochester, MN; her grandson, Douglas (Avery) Clark, of North Pole, AK. She is preceded in death by her husband Kelly; her parents, and brothers Harold (Josepha) Parker, and Milton (Clare) Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17th at the Waushara World War II Memorial building in Wautoma from 12 to 3 with lunch provided. A private graveside service will be held at Fish Lake Cemetery in Hancock. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to direct memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://alz.org).
