Margaretha Walker

Beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother, Margaret L. Walker died on 6 January 2017.

She was born 25 March 1917 in the town of Richford, the daughter of Eduard and Bertha Wilhelmina (Wichner) Bruch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 53 years, Phineas Walker, as well as her brothers Arthur, Ernst, Ervin, Vilas, and Robert, and her sisters Estella and Mildred. She was also preceded in death by her stepsons John and Paul Walker and by her niece, Pamela Bruchs, and nephew John Bruchs.

She is survived by her son, Robert; daughters-in-law Beverly Walker and Florence Walker; by her two step grandsons, Andrew (Nicole) Walker and Timothy (Leslie) Walker; two step grand- daughters, Heather Coonen Petersons and Jessie Coonen Grasse. She is further survived by many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret was confirmed in 1931 at Friedens Lutheran Church, Wautoma and attended Wautoma High School, where she graduated in 1936. For many years she worked at Hunt's Drug Store and School Supply. She was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, the Wautoma Garden Club, and Wautoma Women's Club.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 12 January 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Roger Riedel officiating. Burial will be in Wautoma Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials in Margaret's name may be given to Peace Lutheran Church of Wautoma.
