 Marganna Helen Johannes (nee Smith), age 70 of Wautoma, passed away peacefully with her son, Joshua J. Smith by her side on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose.

She was born May 26, 1954 in Allegan, Michigan the daughter of George and Wanda (Carter) Smith. She married Gary Johannes in May of 2005.

Marganna will always be remembered as a loving caregiver of children. Her home was always a safe place for all to have a hot meal, a place to stay or to just visit. She always had a soft spot for any child needing the love only a mother can give. Her happiest times were spent with all of her family including her son, Joshua J. Smith, relatives from Michigan and many friends. She enjoyed going out to eat with her friend and brother, Stephen Smith of Berlin and having her favorite Mexican dish.

She was so lucky to have a wonderful team of nurses and caregivers at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose. The family appreciates all the heartfelt comments and thoughts about Marganna from the staff and residents of Rosemore. They can say with loving affection she was an Angel

She is survived by her husband, Gary Johannes, Wautoma; one son, Joshua J. (Susieanna) Smith, Wild Rose; two grandsons: Joshua Carter Smith and Jacob Nicholas Smith; three sisters: Chris (Dan) Heckman, Lenore Spicer and Roberta Smith; two brothers: George (Cindy) Smith and Stephen Smith; two stepchildren, Genna (Casey) Schwandt and Tracee (Coby) Mulville; two step grandchildren, Cameron and Tanner Schwandt; her mother-in-law, Betty L. (the late Bernard ) Johannes; three brothers-in-law, Terry (Susie) Johannes, Larry (Julie) Johannes, Steven (Patricia) Johannes; one sister-in-law, Debby Johannes. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; by one brother Ted.

A Celebration of Life for Marganna will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at The Red Fox of Wild Rose, N5285 East Little Silver Lake Road, Wild Rose.
