Maliyah Monacelli

January 29, 2010 — February 16, 2016

Our sweetheart Maliyah Jane Monacelli was taken from us unexpectedly and gained her angel wings on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

She was born January 29, 2010 in Oshkosh to Stephen and Nina (Peters) Monacelli. Maliyah was a kindergarten student at Riverview Elementary School in Wautoma and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redgranite where she attended Sunday school.

Maliyah loved to dance, sing, taking visits to the family cabin, playing with her cousins, hunting and fishing. She also was active in baseball and swimming in the pool. She will be forever remembered as a little girl who loved to tell jokes, always had a smile on her face and loved animals, especially her dogs and rabbits. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Maliyah is survived by her parents, Steve and Nina Monacelli, Redgranite; her best friend and sister Malayna, at home; maternal grandparents, Brenda Hendries, Mishicot; Thomas and Jean Peters, Two Rivers; paternal grandmother Ramona (Mel Keller) Monacelli, Redgranite; great-grandparents William Rogers and Mary Jane Monacelli. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles, Gina (Dave Kalista) Peters, Niki (Katie Kautzer) Peters, Angela (Duane) Wegner, and Tom (Lindsay) Monacelli; cousins Jacob and Emilee Wegner, SJ Monacelli and Norah Peters; special godparents Brian Gustke and April Emmerich; other relatives, dear friends and special teachers.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Steve Monacelli and her great-grandparents, Henry and Evelyn Sand, Joseph Barrette, Vi Rogers and Dewey Monacelli.

Funeral Services for Maliyah Jane Monacelli will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 12 NOON in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redgranite with Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. She will be laid to rest in Foster Road Cemetery, Redgranite.
