Middleton

Lori Ann Flores Rhode, age 54, passed away unexpectedly from health complications at her home in Middleton, Wisconsin on Friday, June 6th, 2025. She was born and raised in Wautoma, Wisconsin. As a child, Lori had a menagerie of pets, including numerous gerbils, a guinea pig named Pookie, a cat named Shadow. As a teenager, she worked as a hostess at Timbers Supper Club. She graduated from Wautoma High School in 1989, and went on to study Business at Madison Business College where she earned her Associates degree in 1991.

In addition to being an animal lover, she loved trips to the farmers’ market.

Like her mother, Julia, Lori had a green thumb, and had a garden wherever she lived throughout her life. Lori had an adventurous spirit for travel, and visited most of the states and several countries. She loved scary movies, reading, walking, scrapbooking, and trying new foods. She loved cuddling her beloved dog, Louie.

Lori had a smile and vibrant spirit that lit up the room. There was never any doubt what holiday season was a foot if you visited Lori’s home. She decorated her home with equal enthusiasm for all celebrations. She loved The Nutcracker, and in addition to yearly trips to the ballet, you could find nutcracker themed decorations around her home. She even had nutcracker hunts at Christmas for her children, Alex and Max.

Lori wore many hats throughout her business career. In addition to being a banker, office manager and real estate agent, she worked as an independent contractor for numerous companies including Avon, Silpada, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Arbonne, and Cabi.

Lori was born to be a mom. Supporting nearly every sport and activity, serving as Girl Scout leader, the Boy Scout popcorn colonel, member of the PTSA, school classroom volunteer, and organizer of the neighborhood Easter egg hunt—Alex and Max were simply the center of her life. In doing so, she was proud to serve her community.

Lori is survived by her children, Alexandra Morrey and Maxwell Morrey, mother, Julia Flores, former husband John Morrey, sister Ruth Siebers (Richard), sister Julia Murray (Kenneth), brother Michael Rhode (Lisa), and numerous nieces and nephews.
