Larry Michalski

September 23, 1939 — August 3, 2010

Larry A. Michalski, Sr., age 70, of Wautoma, passed away Tuesday, afternoon August 3, 2010 at Omro Care Center.
He was born September 23, 1939 in Merrill, the son of Jake and Jeanette (Harbath) Michalski. He married Karen Krueger on March 22, 1958 in Merrill. They were married for 43 wonderful years and had four children. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2001.
In his younger years, Larry was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also participated in baseball and bowling and enjoyed watching football. Larry was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wautoma. The apple of Larry's eye was his grandchildren and he enjoyed spending time with them as well as the rest of his family. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his three children, John (Jean) Michalski, Wautoma, Mark (Dawn) Michalski, Wild Rose and Nancy Michalski, Madison; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers Jim (Jaye) Michalski, Rhinelander, Tom (Bev) Michalski, Merrill; sisters Janet Plautz, Merrill, Faye Nelson, Merrill, Susan Steffen, Merrill, JoAnn (Rod) Rothmeyer, Weston, Mary Mares, Weston; his long-time companion Paula Andrews and her son David, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Michalski, Jr.
Funeral Service for Larry A. Michalski will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 11:00am in Trinity Lutheran Church, Wautoma with Rev. William Meier officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in North Dakota Cemetery, Town of Dakota.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and from 10:00am on Monday until the time of services at the Church.
