Larry R. Crawford, age 74, of Plainfield, passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, July 19, 2014 at his home.
He was born February 16, 1940 in Waushara County, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Peterson) Crawford. He married Wanda Bennett, she preceded him in death. He later married Marybeth Banach, she preceded him in death on September 28, 2012.
Larry worked for the Department of Natural Resources where he dedicated his time to the Prairie Chicken management project. Mr. Crawford took pride in his community involvements serving on several committees and organizations.
He is survived by his Brother, Ray (Judy) Crawford; his sister, Judy (Gordon) Fillar; his nieces and nephews, Christy (Ray) Crawford-Wysocki, Jim (Destaye) Crawford, Marilyn (Eric) Beggs, Marcella (Lenny) Carlton, Marcia (Robin) Griswold, Melinda (Dave) Trzebiatowski; further survived by other relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wanda and second wife, Marybeth; a sister Wanda Yonke and a niece Kimberly Fillar.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 12 noon in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until the time of services at the funeral home.
