Judith Waedekin

Judith M. Waedekin, age 76, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at Copperleaf Village Assisted Living in Ripon.

Judith was a wife-mother-artist. She was born May 8, 1940 in Manitowoc the daughter of Jean and Dorothy Barbier. Married to husband Wayne for 45 years. Her main love in life were her family and husband whom truly loved her so very much.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Waedekin, Wautoma; her children, Cheryl LaVallee, Brookfield; Susan (Walter) Kangas, Manitowoc; Carolyn (Leo) Bethge, Greendale; Christine (Todd) Schloesser, Greenfield; Nancy Flynn, Oak Creek; Sandra Waedekin (Harry DiMauro), Midlothian, VA; Michael Waedekin, Mukwonago; stepson, Lee (SueEllen) Waedekin, Clermont, FL; son-in-law, Kenneth Stigler, Hartford; one brother, Jim (Patricia) Barbier, Manitowoc; one sister, Janice Barbier Demcak (Michael Hughes), Taylorsville, UT. Additionally, Judy was blessed with 14 grandchildren, Lisa (Doug) Ellis, Julie and Christopher LaVallee, Lamar Baucum, Nicholas and Olivia Bethge, Tyler Flynn, Justin (Julie) Stigler, Kyle (Emily) Stigler, Jacob (Marsha) Waedekin, Dr. Erica (Ben) Knurr, Patricia (Glenn) Mendoza, David (Rose) Lattimer and Anthony Pape; eight great grandchildren, Drake, Tate and Coy Stigler, Weston Stigler, Savannah and Parker Knurr, Glenn Mendoza Jr. and Emily Langone; two great-great grandchildren, Jack Mendoza and Vincent Langone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kathryn Stigler; one brother, Allen Barbier; her stepson, Jeffery Waedekin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Cemetery committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 in the Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
