Joyce Marie Klinger

Joyce M. Klinger, age 99, of Wautoma, WI, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at home.

Joyce was born on July 16, 1926 in the town of Pine Grove in Portage County, Wisconsin to Carl and Estelle (Ostrander) Casler.

Joyce was a 1944 graduate of Plainfield high School. She furthered her education at the Normal School in Wautoma and UW Madison. She taught four year old Pre-School for 20 years. After retirement Joyce worked in home care for many years.

Joyce met her husband Frank of 53 years during the summer of 1946 while working at Silvercryst. They married on November 27, 1946. Together they raised five sons.

Joyce was a 75 year member of Grace United Methodist Church. Also, a 75 year member of the Wautoma Order of Eastern Star and a 75 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also on the board of the Waushara County Historical Museum. Further she was involved with the formation of the Christian Women's organization. The last few years she volunteered at the Wautoma meal site before the pandemic.

Joyce loved visiting family and friends. She enjoyed feeding the birds and watching wild life. She was an avid reader and could beat anyone in a scrabble game.

Joyce is survived by three sons: Kirby (Diane), Mosinee, Kevin (Sharon), Wautoma, Damon (Donna), Wisconsin Rapids; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank; one brother: James Casler; two sons: Jerome and Joel; three daughters-in-law: Barbara, Sharon, Theda and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma with burial to follow in Wautoma Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM. An Eastern Star Service will be held prior to funeral services.
