Joyce Grewe

Joyce L. Grewe, age 83, of Plainfield, died peacefully, Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home. She was born July 29, 1927 at Hoopeston, IL., the daughter of Charles L. and Nellie M. (Bradshaw) Ford. She married Gustav Grewe on May 22, 1949 at Hoopeston, IL. He survives. Joyce was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton for many years. She also worked at the local hospitals and Care Centers in the Plainfield area. She is survived by her husband, Gustav Grewe, Plainfield; three children, Linda Holz, Plainfield, Lesley Grewe, Menasha, Leonard (Maxine) Grewe, West Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Jonathan Holz, Milwaukee, Pamela Holz, Washington, IA., Annette (Michael) Jacobs, St. Louis, MO., Bethany (Gram) Eubank, Appleton, Daniel (Kristen) Grewe, Winneconne, and Constance (Clayton) Greene, Louisville, KY.; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Merritt, Rossville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother. There will be no funeral per her wishes. The family asks that you remember her in prayers. The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to St. Agnes Hospice for their caring support, the Waushara Physicians Clinic in Plainfield, and Wild Rose Hospital for their attention and care. A very special thank you to Dennis the RN who took really good care of her.
