Jerome Edward “Jerry” Ruppenthal passed on May 26th, 2026 in his home in Neshkoro, WI
Jerry was born on August 28th, 1938 at St. Elisabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. He spent his formative years in Hilbert, WI. He graduated from Hilbert High School. Then he went on to serve our country in the Navy and was honorably discharged. On September 8th, 1962 Jerry married Judith “Judy” (Pasewald) Ruppenthal. They spent 51 blissful years together. After marrying the love of his life, he owned two successful businesses, Hilbert Recreation Bowling in Hilbert. WI and J & J Family Drive-in of Lakewood, WI. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Jerome is survived by his son: Todd Ruppenthal, grandson: Kyle Kutschenreuter, granddaughter: Kaycie (Kutschenreuter) Peck, 4 loving great-grandchildren: Sophia, Owen, Frederick, and Theodore, sister-in-law: Susan (Pasewald) Rodman, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Pasewald) Ruppenthal and daughter, Tammy (Ruppenthal) Kutschenreuter, mother, Ester (Grube) Ruppenthal, father, Edward Ruppenthal, sisters, Marjorie Basten and Nancy Diener. Jerry’s family would also like to extend their thanks to the congregation of Zion Lutheran Church for their care and support of Jerry so that he could attend services and be well cared for.
A funeral service will be held on Friday. June 12th at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 227 State Street, Neshkoro, WI. with visitation from 10AM - 11AM in the Church Sanctuary. Military Honors will follow service at church.
Jerome will be laid to rest on June, 15th at 11am at Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend, WI
