Jason Richard Bohn

Jason Richard Bohn, age 46 of Wild Rose passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at his home from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was born at Wild Rose Medical Center on April 5, 1979 to Richard and Judy (Przybyl) Bohn. Jason grew up on a dairy farm in Dakota. He ran cross country at Wautoma High School and graduated with the Class of 1998. He married Grace Gunther and had a daughter, Kimberly. Jason and Grace divorced, and then he married Kelly Johnson in Green Bay on July 10, 2009. This union created a blended family of six when Trenley Bohn was born in 2014.

Jason loved to farm, even after selling the family dairy farm, and worked for Opitz heifer farm with his dad and uncle. After meeting Kelly and moving to Waupaca, he worked for Northstar Genetics, breeding at large dairy farms across the state. Later he became the head feeder at Rohan Dairy Farm, before deciding to end his farming career altogether. Lastly Jason was hired at Gusmer Enterprises, where he earned the nickname “Farmer” because of his work ethic and cultivated many friendships there. He also achieved the second to top position in is department as a Beater Operator and his goal everyday was “to make people laugh”. He treated everyone the same whether they were brand new or the owner himself until the ALS disease did not allow him to work anymore. Jason still enjoyed the outdoors and spent time fishing, gardening, and mostly being “Dad” and “Papa”.

Jason is survived by his wife: Kelly Johnson Bohn; daughters: Kimberly Bohn, Trenley Bohn; step daughters: Cassidy Johnson, Corynn (Duane Brazil) Johnson, Tatum Johnson; step son: Keegan (Abby Gilson) Johnson; granddaughter: Evelyn Kudick; father: Richard Bohn; sister: Patti (Dan) Abt; brother: Tim (Andrea) Bohn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Judy Bohn; son: Addison Bohn; maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as one aunt and two uncles on the Przybyl side.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Faith Community Church, N2541 County Rd K, Waupaca, WI at 11AM with burial to follow in South Dakota Cemetery, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, May 22, from 4PM-6PM at the church and also on Friday at the church from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
