Janice Emily Auck (nee Friemark)

Janice Emily Auck (nee Friemark), loving mother of three and adoring wife to Gregory Elmer Auck of 55 years, passed away in the early evening hours of the 24^th of September after a courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born in 1947 in Berlin and grew up enjoying fishing and the country life with her two brothers, Harold and Timothy. She enjoyed the country life and adored elaborate flower gardens, blue birds and butterflies. She met her husband Gregory in the spring of 1967, fell in love instantly and were married on September 2, 1967. It wasn’t long and they decided it was time to start a family. As a mother, she was generous, loving and kind. She didn’t raise any pushovers! She spoiled her family with amazing baking and cooking and always brought fun and humor into every situation. Janice had the blessed pleasure to be a grandmother of two and a great grandmother of one (with a second on the way this November 5). With the littlest ones in the family, rules didn’t apply. There was never a shortage of grandma’s sugar, special treats and surprises. Janice loved to live life, party, spend time with friends, garden and crochet beautiful things. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her two daughters: Kerri and Lindsay.

Janice is survived by her husband: Gregory Auck; two daughters: Kerri (Ed) Lehman, Lindsay (Thomas E.) Monacelli; granddaughter: Natalie (Ryan) Deppe; grandson: SJ Monacelli; great granddaughter: Emersyn Deppe and another great granddaughter soon-to-arrive: Norah Deppe; two brothers: Harold (Jeanette) Friemark, Timothy (Jane) Friemark; many close nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, dear friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold W. and Josephine (Rodencal) Friemark; son: Jonathan Auck and numerous other dear family and friends.

There will be a memorial service at 1PM and short visitation from 11AM to 1PM at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Country Inn, Berlin, WI for those who would like to say their last Good-Bye to Janice on Saturday, October 1, 2022. www.wautomafuneralhome.com 

The family requests that all “Come as they are” and wear bright colors. Janice particularly liked pink, turquoise and purple.
