Frieda Reetz

Frieda A. Reetz, age 88, of Neshkoro, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, August 20, 2010 at Preston Place in Redgranite.

She was born May 28, 1922 in the township of Newton, Marquette County, the daughter of Harry and Ida (Sommerfield) Gramse. She married Harold E. Reetz on May 31, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2010.

Frieda was baptized in the Newton church and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Crystal Lake. She moved with her parents to Minnesota at a young age, but later returned in 1933. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro where she was the church organist and taught Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Reetz worked at Handicraft in Princeton and Seavecki's in Wautoma, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Reetz enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five sons, Ronald (Sandra) Reetz, Dennis (Patsy) Reetz, Robert (Barbara) Reetz, Norlin (Colleen) Reetz, all of Neshkoro, Keith (Kim) Reetz, Oshkosh; thirteen grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three step granddaughters and four step great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Dorothy Buchholz.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro with the Rev. Franklin Giebel officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
