Frances Mae Woyak age 78 of Wautoma passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Aspirus Hospital, Stevens Point. Frances was born on May 15, 1947 to Frank and Anna (Leonhard) Yanko, a true baby boomer, the third of twelve siblings. She graduated from Rib Lake High School and promptly moved to Milwaukee. There she met the love of her life and married David Michael Woyak Sr. on August 17, 1968 and started a family - sons David and Michael and daughter Jennifer. In 1975 the family moved to Wautoma to the same farm where Dave grew up. There, Fran focused on raising their children and supporting their many activities. She worked various part time jobs when the kids were older and ended up with the Waushara Department of Aging in her golden years, working in the kitchen and managing meal sites. She was grateful for the many friendships made through work.
It made Fran's heart full that all of her children moved back to Wautoma, where she was able to help raise and support her grandchildren. She created many memories for them, baking, dancing, and entertaining. She made family gatherings, holidays, and the annual trip to the cabin special. Fran found great joy in being there for her grandkid's and was regular fixture at their many activities to the end.
Frances is survived by her children: David (Nicky), Michael (Jenny), and Jennifer (Peter) Idsvoog; grandchildren: Kordell (Amber), Madylyn, Isybela, Marshel, Ella Mae, and Alexandria Woyak and Peter David Idsvoog (Kendall Gustke); sisters: JoAnne (Wayne) Bowling, Mary (John) Mullen, Jan (Frank) Waszkiewicz, Myrna (Don) Schwartz, Terri Yanko, Dorathy (Gary) Nelson, Sue (Chris) Peterson, Becky (Jim) Rindt, and Elaine Emmerich; brother Joe (LuAnne) Yanko; sisters-in-law: Violet Wanta, Susan (Ken) Feye; brothers-in-law: Kenneth (Diane) Woyak, Andy (Marlene) Woyak; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; dear husband whom she missed so much; brother: Jim Yanko and brothers-in-law: Jerry Woyak and Wally Emmerich.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to honor Frances will be held at 11AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The family will greet relatives and friends at church from 9:30AM to 10:45AM with mass to follow at 11AM.
