Elizabeth Hartel

Elizabeth Anne Hartel, age 89, of Neshkoro, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her son's home in the Township of Crystal Lake, Marquette County. She was born June 25, 1925 in Boone County, Iowa, the daughter of Archie and Mabel Hoffman. She married Ralph F. Hartel on August 16, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1991. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Zion United Methodist Church in Neshkoro and enjoyed daily Bible study. She loved nature and her home in the woods. Her favorite craft was crocheting afghans for gifts. She is survived by one son, David (Linda) Hartel, Neshkoro; one daughter, Ruth (Robert) Follensbee, St. Paul, MN; three grandchildren, Eric, Nathan, and Tori Follensbee, St. Paul, MN; one sister, Shirley (the late Harvey) Freudenstein, Dousman. Elizabeth is further survived by nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Fred Steinke. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church in Neshkoro with Rev. Aaron Alfred officiating. Inurnment will be at Emmanuel Crystal Lake Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
