Edith Helen Dunnett, age 94, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born in Springfield Township, Marquette County on August 17, 1928 to Theodore and Helen (Kruger) Pockrandt. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1946. She married Carroll Dunnett on May 24, 1947. Together they were blessed with five children. They later divorced.
Edith worked as a cook and dietary manager for 32 years at various nursing homes and hospitals. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma where she was active in the Sunday School, numerous women’s groups and the church council.
Edith loved to travel and went on many trips with her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her children’s and grand children’s school events and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Edith is survived by her five children: Kenneth (Anita) Dunnett, Keith (Donna) Dunnett, Kathy (Robert, deceased) Powell, Kevin Dunnett, and Dale (Deb) Dunnett; 13 grandchildren: Anja Slate, Olivia Talma, Whitney Moscinski, Merry Berg, Jenny Dunnett, Aaron Dunnett, Matt Schroeder, Kim Coyne, Trina Sullivan, Jeramiah Dunnett, Sara Mertens, Jesse Dunnett and Travis Dunnett; 20 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister Mavis and brother-in-law Clarence Semrow, and by her son-in-law, Robert Powell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma with Vicar Matthew Walsh officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Springfield with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.
