Dorothy M. Evans, age 101, of Wautoma, passed away early Sunday morning, March 22, 2020 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Wild Rose.
She was born November 21, 1918 in the town of Deerfield, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Kapp) Schwanke. She married Ray Evans on April 28, 138. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1978.
Dorothy worked sewing gun cases at Kolpin Manufacturing in Berlin for many years. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, cooking and fishing.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Barrington, Almond, Blanche (Larry) Bockin, Waupaca; one son, Gerald (Connie) Evans, Wisconsin Rapids; her son-in-law, Lewis Johannes, Wautoma; nine grandsons, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four daughters, Arlene Evans, Louise Mankowski, Loretta Johannes, and Delores Evans; two sons, Raymond Evans and Leroy Evans; one brother, Marvin Schwanke; and by her son-in-law, Allen Barrington.
Private family services will be held. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodville Cemetery, town of Deerfield.
