Donna Lee Anderson

Donna Lee Louise Anderson, age 81 of Wild Rose, formerly of Rockford, IL, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Theda Care Hospital, Wild Rose. She was born on January 6, 1937 in Rockford to Herman and Florence (Peterson) Brandt. On May 24, 1958 she married John “Jack” Anderson at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Donna worked as a Registered Nurse in the newborn nursery at Rockford Memorial Hospital until her retirement and later moved to Wild Rose. She also ran a Daycare for many years. Donna was a member of the Rockford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Wild Rose Hospital Auxiliary. Donna was a past active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Saxeville and current active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris. Above all, Donna was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Donna is survived by her children: Jay (Renee) Anderson, Brandt (Julie) Anderson, Linda (Larry) Haling; grandchildren: Dawn (Ryan), David, Daniel, Melissa, Catherine, Paul, Brooke (Tony), Jonathan, Benjamin; great granddaughter: Isabella; sister: Carolyn Harker; sisters-in-law: Jeannine Johnson, Jackie Anderson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Richard Brandt; son: Mark Anderson and husband: John “Jack” Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris with burial to follow at Saxeville Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Thursday from 12PM (NOON) until the time of services at 1:30PM.
