Donald Savin

Donald Frank Savin, age 86 of Redgranite, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Rosemore Village, Wild Rose. He was born on December 11, 1929 in Milwaukee to John and Esther Savin. After High School, Donald entered the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1950. He then went to work for General Motors where he worked as a Millwright. On August 28, 1982 he married Janet M. Berkey in Cudahy, WI. After 23 years of employment at General Motors, Donald retired and the couple moved the Redgranite to enjoy retirement. He was a member of the Tripoli Shrine in Milwaukee and Wautoma and Wautoma Masonic Lodge 148 F & A.M. Donald enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, playing bingo, woodworking and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife: Janet Savin; children: Dawn (Mike) Franke, Cheryl (George) Given, Sandra Feavel; daughter-in-law: Karen Berkey; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother: David Savin; sister-in-law: Joyce (Ralph) Uebelacker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paretns and son: Steve Berkey.

Funeral services will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. A Masonic service will start services at noon followed by Pastor Rafeal Cubilette and Military Honors. Burial will take place at 11AM on Monday at Arlington Cemetery, Greenfield, WI. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10AM until the time of services at 12PM (NOON).
