Debra A. Lorenz, was born on November 27, 1956, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Victor and Janie (Lathe) White. Her mother was originally from Chetek, Wisconsin, and her father from Circle, Montana. Debbi was the youngest of eight children, with her oldest sibling being 18 years old when she was born. She attended Freiss Lake Elementary School and Hartford High School.
Debbi’s family began studying the Bible in 1960, when she was just three years old. Her parents were baptized in 1962 at a district convention held in the armory in Sheboygan. Following in their footsteps, Debbi was baptized in 1972 at the age of 15 during a convention at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum in Madison. Her faith in Jehovah became the foundation of her life and something she treasured deeply. In 1984, she began pioneering, and throughout the years, she had the joy of helping a number of her Bible students come to baptism.
In 1974, Debbi married Sid Lorenz, beginning a loving marriage that spanned 52 years. Together, they raised their three children, welcoming twins in 1993 when Debbi was 36, followed by their other child three years later. Her family meant everything to her, and she took great joy in the life they built together.
Debbi had many interests and hobbies that brought her happiness. She loved traveling, especially trips to Montana and South Dakota. Purple was her favorite color, and she especially enjoyed gardening and filling her surroundings with beautiful purple flowers. She was an avid stamp collector, building an extensive collection that included many rare issues. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, playing board games, and getting lost in a good mystery novel. Debbi was well-known at the local libraries for her many book requests and love of reading.
Above all, Debbi cherished her faith and the friendships she developed throughout her life. One of her greatest joys was sharing her faith in Jehovah with others. Although she had been homebound for many years, that never diminished her interest in the congregation or the people she loved. She genuinely cared about how everyone was doing and remained involved in the lives of her friends.
Debbi touched the lives of many people through her faith, kindness, and spirited personality. She looked forward to the day when she would be reunited with all her dear friends, with her youth and unmistakable spitfire spirit restored. That hope brought her comfort and remained close to her heart.
Debbi is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Sid Lorenz; her three children: Lucinda, Logan (Lillie), and Boone (Layla); five siblings; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
A memorial service for Debbi will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 454 E Chicago Road Wautoma, Wisconsin 54982 followed. A luncheon will follow at Mt. Morris Camp & Retreat Center.
