David "Dave" E. Wanichek, age 74, of Bancroft, passed away Monday morning, February 7, 2011.
He was born July 29, 1936 in Bancroft, the son of John V. and Johanna D. (Pionke) Wanichek.
Dave was a graduate of Plainfield High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1959. An avid outdoorsmen, he enjoyed farming, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his two sisters, Joan Coyle, Millbrae, CA., Marge (Eddie) Wycklendt, Glendale, WI.; his sister-in-law, Deb Wanichek, Bancroft; further survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Wanichek.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.
