Daniel H. Baranyk, age 78 of Wautoma, died on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his home. He was born on January 20, 1941 in Menomonee Falls to Howard and Stella (Kapke) Baranyk. In 1960 he joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1965 and he married the love of his life Bernice McKay on June 23, 1962 in Menomonee Falls. Through their lifetime together they managed to have four children, 13 grandchildren and 13great grandchildren (to date). Dan worked as a Police Officer for the West Bend Police Dept. for 20+ years. He then worked for Gehls Company Cedar Lake Sales & Service and then retired to Wautoma around 15 years ago where he enjoyed woodworking and small engine repair. He liked to ride motorcycles and loved to mow the lawn. He attended Peace Lutheran Church and had many friends in the community.
Dan is survived by his wife: Bernice Baranyk; son: Christopher Baranyk; daughters: Carol (Chris Wenzel) Baranyk, Carmelle (Scott) Neuy, Charlotte (Glenn) Burke; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister: Carol (Warren) Widman; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
