Carolee Ann (Klever) Primising was born to Hazel (Smith) and Martin Klever on December 1, 1933, on a farm in O'Brien County, Iowa. She passed away on August 4, 2026. Carolee attended a rural school through 3rd grade, then went to Melvin School, graduating in 1952. During Carolee's junior year, the girls' basketball team went to the State Tournament in Des Moines. She was named All-State First Team Guard. Carolee graduated from Presentation School of Nursing in 1955 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was a registered nurse in the states of SD, MN, IA, and WI.

Carolee married Michael John Primising on July 19, 1958 and together had a son, Patrick John. Carolee had a great love for her family and friends. She loved to sew, bake, quilt, crochet, and often made things for her son, grandchildren and friends. Carolee volunteered often for church activities, the Special Olympics, the American Cancer Society, and the Red Cross. She was always there to help anyone in need, at nursing homes, hospitals, a neighbor's house, or anywhere a loving touch was needed. Carolee loved to go camping, fishing, hunting and attend races. She spent countless hours fishing with Mike and Pat and loved every minute. Carolee is survived by her daughter-in-law, Christine, granddaughter Megan (Adam), grandson John (Jordan), two great-grandsons, her sister-in-law Ruth Klever Hanno, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and treasured friends. Carolee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael, her son Patrick, her sister Merrie Lou, her brothers Ellwood, Larry, and Robert, and her best friend Lena Lachelt.

Thank you to her dear friends Therese and Jeff Kasuboski, Mary Pat Thompson, Geri Harris, and Sue Prochnow whose unwavering kindness and friendship meant so much to her.

Carolee's family thanks the staff at Heartland House and at Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.
