Carol Nelsen

Carol Jane Nelsen, age 63, of Poy Sippi, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Theda Care Medical Center in Berlin.

She was born November 1, 1958 in Berlin, the daughter of Leland J. and Nancy (Glass) McCue. She married George Nelsen and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Carol was a 1976 graduate of Berlin High School. She was employed as the Custodian at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi for many years. She enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. Carol loved her cat Georgia. She was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church.

Carol is survived by two brothers: Allen (Tom Hastings) McCue, Wild Rose, Craig (Barb) McCue, Poy Sippi, Cheryl “Cheri” (John) Neumann, Wautoma; two nephews: Jordan (Becky) McCue and Zachariah Reimer; step-nephews: Jay and Josh Selthofner; step-nieces: Jessica Messa-Selthofner, Tara and Brooke Neumann; two stepchildren: Lee Nelsen and Lloyd Nelson; two aunts: Violet Zuge, New London and Eva Rae Wendt of Idaho; uncle: Paul (Bonnie) Glass, Friesland; her special friend: Terri Jo Nelson and her children: Keith, Nick and Travis. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, George Nelsen; her parents; one brother: Brian McCue; and by her stepson: Rick Nelsen.

Visitation will be held at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
