Carol Kowalewski

Carol Nell Kowalewski, age 75, of Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Monday June 1, 2015 at Wild Rose Manor. She was born on December 1, 1939 in Milwaukee to Paul and Nell (Menehan) Gehrke. After high school, Carol attended Beautician School. On September 26, 1959 she married James J. Kowalewski at St. Casmir Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Carol later worked as a CNA for different nursing homes and also did in-home care. In most recent years, Carol enjoyed taking Psychology classes at Fox Valley Tech. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed gardening, crocheting and making crafts and won numerous blue ribbons at the fair. She also enjoyed spending time with family and trips to the casino.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years: James "Jim" Kowalewski; daughter: Janet Becker; four sons: Dale, Shawn (Rosie), Michael, Timothy (Grace) Kowalewski; grandchildren: Kristie (Joe) Reichard, Kimberly and Kelsey Becker, Kayla, Gilbert, Rachel and Benjamin Kowalewski; sister: Rosemary (Joe) McKillop; brother: Joseph Gehrke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter: Marissa; son-in-law: Robert Becker and two brothers: Paul and Robert Gehrke.
