Bonnie Gatz-Kagel

December 20, 1951 — April 2, 2018

Bonnie Lou Gatz-Kagel, age 66 of Wautoma, died suddenly on Monday, April 02, 2018 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. She was born on December 20, 1951 in Berlin to Edwin and Leona (Reetz) Gatz. After graduating from Westfield High School, Bonnie attended Madison Beauty School to become a Beautician. She then went to work for Jean Zuelke at La Femme Beauty Salon and worked there for many years. On April 2, 2005 she married John Kagel in Wautoma at Moose Inn. Bonnie also worked at Milsco and for Cooperative Care in Wautoma until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, playing various games and loved her cats and dog: Teddy. Bonnie was a member of the Waushara County Chamber of Commerce for many years and a member of the United Steel Workers Union where she served as President. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her husband: John Kagel; step children: John Kagel Jr, Belinda Kagel, Stacy Kagel-Aarons, Cassandra Kagel; step grandchildren: Kyle, Anthony, Annabelle, Aubrey; brother-in-law: George Byrne; aunts, uncle, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother: Donald; sister: Carol Byrne; infant step granddaughter: Julianna; sister-in-law: Dawn Ulik and step father: Carl Lang.

Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:30AM until the time of services at 11AM.
