Bernice Baranowski

January 25, 1930 — February 12, 2014

Bernice D. "Sassy" Baranowski, age 84, of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at All Saints-St. Mary's Medical Center in Racine.

She was born January 25, 1930 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Carl and Hilda Karolewicz. She married Harry B. Baranowski on September 3, 1949 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1981.

Bernice and her late husband resided in Milwaukee for many years before moving to rural Wautoma in 1978. She enjoyed working with the cleaning crew at Camp Lu-Wi-So-Mo, rural Wild Rose. Bernice was a longtime active and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Wild Rose.

She is survived by three children, Michael (Linda) Baranowski, Racine, Dawn (Dave) Brandt, Mukwonago, Scott (Mary) Baranwoski, Franklin; two stepchildren, Roger (the late, Georgia) Baranowski, Texas, Christopher (Letha) Baranowski, Greenfield; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine (the late, Edward) Dutkiewicz, Wautoma, Carrol Carney, West Allis. She is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.

Due to the fire at Immanuel Lutheran Church, funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in The Chapel of St. Barnabas at Camp Lu Wi So Mo, W5421 Aspen Road, Wild Rose, WI 54984 with the Rev. William E. Meier officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Marion Cemetery, Town of Marion.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services
at Camp Lu Wi So Mo. A memorial is being established.
