Alvina Bohn

February 17, 1916 — June 23, 2015

Alvina R. Bohn, age 99, of Wautoma, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Wild Rose Manor.

She was born February 17, 1916 in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara County, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Novak) Scharf Sr. She married Otto L. Bohn Sr. on May 30, 1934 in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1970.

Alvina worked at Vroman Farms of Plainfield and later at Bacon Farms of Hancock for many years. She was a lifelong faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Deerfield.

She is survived by one son, Otto Bohn Jr., Wautoma; three grand- children, Gary Bohn, Wautoma, Debra Davies (Sean Crowley) Coloma, and Kevin (Christine) Bohn, Wautoma; great grandchildren, Dalton and Tucker Bohn, Cody Davies, Rebecca and Emily Bohn; two sisters, Linda Swartzbaugh, Lancaster, Janet (James) Wright, Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Lulabelle Scharf, Markesan. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Lou Bohn; three sisters, Amanda Adams, Margaret Tucek, and Anna LaPorte; one brother, Edward Scharf Jr.; and by her daughter-in-law, Janet Bohn.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, W10805 County Road C, Hancock. Private family funeral services will follow with Rev. Dale W. Bahls officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
