Adela Belot

Adela Adeline Belot, age 99 years and nine and one half months of Wautoma, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 21, 2011 at Berlin Memorial Hospital. She was born August 2, 1911 in Coloma, the daughter of William and Mathilda (Hoffman) Otto. She married Arnold Weiland in 1932. They owned a Chevrolet garage in Wautoma for many years and he preceded her in death in 1966. Later, she married Avin Kietzer, who died in 1972. She then was married to John Belot until his death in 1989. Adela was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her younger years, she enjoyed working in her garden and playing cards. She was a faithful longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Richford. She belonged to the Ladies Aid and Coloma Senior Citizens. Also, Adela worked at the former Perry Patch Restaurant in Wautoma for seven years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Karen (Douglas) Wenzel, Oshkosh; her son, James Weiland, Wautoma; two grandchildren, Geoffrey (Jacqueline) Borree, New Port Richey, Florida, and Rachel (Paul) Dillon, Prescott Valley, Arizona; two great grandchildren, Blake and Thompson Borree.

She is further survived by stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and Diane Thom,

a special caretaker and friend. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands; an infant daughter, Arlene; three brothers, Henry, Fred and Theodore Otto; two sisters, Lydia Ploetz and Clara Werner, and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Richford with Rev. Blaine O. Niskanen officiating. Burial will be in Richford Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Thursday from 10 :00 a.m. until the time of services.
