Norman LeRoy Wagner, age 86, of Neshkoro, passed away early Monday morning, March 12, 2018 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born August 11, 1931 in Iola, the son of Henry and Rubie (Larson) Wagner. He married Angeline B. Kraegenbrink on Jan. 19, 1973 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 1999.
Norman served in the United States Army from Dec. 29, 1953 until Dec. 7, 1956 during the Korean War. He participated the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. several years ago. He was employed as foreman at St. Mary’s Cement in Milwaukee for many years until his retirement. He also worked nights and weekends as a Longshoreman at the Port of Milwaukee. In 1994, he and his late wife moved from Milwaukee to Neshkoro.
He is survived by his special friend and companion, Lydia Pinterics; his children, Larry Wagner, Brenda Wagner, Judy Wagner, Leroy (Shirl) Wagner, Gail (Alan) Neitzke, Kathleen Cereceres, Linda (Todd) Nowak, Gloria Cereceres, Phillip Cereceres, Mary Cereceres, Lisa Cereceres, Jose Wagner, Ramon (Jody) Wagner, and Lorie (Willie) McLucas. He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; two brothers, Gene (Arlene) Wagner, Duke (Shirley) Wegener; one sister, Annie (Carlton) Begrow.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and by two children, Dana Wagner and David Kraegenbrink.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Waushara Community Church in Wautoma with Rev. R. Alan Spitler officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Township of Dakota. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
